Hospice Meals

Mission: To provide the ease and comfort of home cooked meals for the families visiting their loved ones at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Southminster.

Volunteer Opportunities: St. Matthew parishioners provide meals during the months of July and December each year - dinner every Tuesday and Thursday and brunch/lunch on Saturdays. Volunteers serve individually or with groups to make a meal for 15-20 people consisting of a main dish, salad or vegetable, bread and dessert. Meals are delivered hot and ready to eat. Volunteers just drop off the food and do not have to stay. This is a great opportunity for families with teens, teaching them the value of compassion and affording the opportunity to pray for those who are seriously ill and their family members.

Time Commitment- 2-6 hours, depending on time needed to prepare meals.
