Young adults - those in their 20s or 30s - are an important part of the St. Matthew faith community. They make up a large percent of our membership and are involved in every aspect of parish life.
Young Adult Life (YAL) is a ministry designed to meet the social and spiritual needs of these men and women, married or single with or without children. Throughout the year, YAL provides opportunities for social engagement, spiritual growth and community service for this active group. Activities have included hiking, happy hours, animal shelter, softball, day trips, Bible studies, Mass and a Meal and more. This group hosted the Hearts on Fire Retreat in July of 2011 and also sponsored the Theology on Tap speaker series.
