Music Ministry

   Music Ministry

Vision: Praise HIM with SONG!

Mission: To foster and nurture participation within the worshipping community primarily through proclaiming the Word in song, leading congregational singing, and presenting liturgically appropriate music which speaks to the individual's soul, aiding them on their faith journey. Additionally, we will cultivate a true sense of Christian Community through hospitality and service to all.

Volunteer opportunities: Join the Music Ministry!

Adult Choir: “He, who sings, prays twice!”(St. Augustine) What could be better than that? Have you always thought about joining the choir but just haven’t taken that step yet? Well, it’s time. New members are invited to choir rehearsals on Thursdays, September through May, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm in the Choir Room, located behind the choir pit. We invite you to become a part of this faith-filled, prayerful, joyous and fun community. No audition is necessary and you don’t have to read music but yes, it helps, and a pleasant voice would be nice. So, c’mon, it’s time to step out in faith. Just show up on any Thursday and we’ll take it from there. Kathy Bartlett, Director of Liturgical Ministries,

Youth Choir: Calling all fourth through eighth graders! Singing in this choir is a wonderful way for our children to worship God in song, learn Scripture, develop music skills, and have fun. Click here for more information.

The Grace Notes Children's Choir: This choir is for children in kindergarten through third grade. Welcome to a fun, uplifting, and positive way for your child to strengthen his or her relationship with Jesus! Click here for more information.

Time commitment of volunteers: Choir members, 3 hours weekly (1.5 hours for weekly rehearsal on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:00 pm; 1.5 hours to sing at Mass with arrival time 30 minutes prior). Youth Choir and The Grace Notes children's choir: 50 minute rehearsals twice monthly plus 1.5 hours for Mass once monthly, from September to May.
