Designed for families with elementary and middle school age children in our faith formation program, this gives you an option to combine at home learning with community events.  Parents are provided with the curriculum and lesson outline to do at home with their children.  Four times through the program year, families come to a ‘mini-retreat’ in person at our Ballantyne Campus. Come prepared for faith and fun, and remember to wear clothing suitable for a variety of entertaining retreat style activities, especially games! For your comfort, we advise bringing a beach towel or camping chair to sit on.

Mini-Retreat Experience Dates: Sept. 12, Nov. 21, Feb. 27 and Apr. 24

Sept. 12: In The Beginning

This mini-retreat will take families on a journey from Genesis, through the time of Jesus and His life, then up to our own beginnings as children of God.  Three rotations will explore the sacraments, our beautiful Catholic rosary and introduce you to your curriculum that will be used at home.

We will open in the St. Matthew School Gym at the Ballantyne Campus. Please use the entrance on the Elm Lane side of the elementary school marked School Gymnasium. (Note: Do not use the main school entrance as that is for the preschool program’s open house.)

What if we are unable to attend one of the mini-retreats?

Participation in the gathering days are required, however, if it is not possible for you to attend…
