Family Assist
The Family Assist Ministry provides assistance for parish families who are experiencing financial hardship. This Christmas, we will provide those in need with gifts or gift cards. If you, your family, business or group would like to share with others this Christmas, contact Don Meanor at 704-543-7677 x 1018.

Angel Tree
During the Christmas season, the Angel Tree Ministry partners with local charities to provide gifts to families in need. Our ministry is always overwhelmed by the generosity of our parishioners, and would not be successful without you! Complying with current safety guidelines, we can only accept gift cards and check donations. We accept gift cards from Amazon, Visa, MasterCard, any local retail, grocery or drug stores, gas stations or restaurants. Our collection begins on Nov. 20 and ends Dec. 12. Please place gift cards or checks in a sealed envelope labeled Angel Tree with the amount of the gift card or donation. Please mark Angel Tree in the memo section of checks. Place donations in the offertory at the Ballantyne and Waxhaw campuses, or bring to the church office Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 4:30 pm, or mail to St. Matthew Catholic Church, PO Box 49349, Charlotte, NC 28277. Blood Give-In
Our next Blood Give-In is Sunday, Dec. 12, from 8 am to 1 pm in the Parish Center Family Room. To sign up online, visit, go to Donate Blood, then Find a Blood Drive; enter Zip Code 28277, or call 1-800-Red Cross. Remember to drink extra water and eat a filling meal before your donation. All donors need a photo ID.

Food Baskets
This year, we have an opportunity for you to prepare a Christmas bin to share with families in our community. This could be a beautiful family project. Fill an 18-gallon, lidded bin with food items from the list below, as well as other special non-perishable items that you would like to include. Personalize your bin with a handwritten card or letter to the family who will receive your gift. Drop off filled bins in the Parish Center parking lot on Friday, Dec. 10 and Saturday, Dec. 11. There will be  a truck available to place donations.
