St. Matthew’s Youth Ministry is dependent on parents and adult volunteers to offer the engaging, Christ-centered programming that we desire for our youth. There are multiple ways parents and adults help us to build lasting Christian relationships with teens. Please consider offering your support in one of the ways below.
Life Night Support
Adult or parent support is needed to help in the following ways:
- Set-Up: preparing the space and rooms used for the evening; this may include adding decor, audio-visual set-up, putting up tables or chairs.
- Dinner: due to current restrictions, meals are not being prepared or served at Life Nights.
Core Team for High School
CORE team members inspire and engage our teens to know Christ by building Christ-centered relationships with them and being present in their lives. With staff support, CORE team members run our Sunday program and annual retreats. If you sense that God might be calling you into this fulfilling ministry, we would love the opportunity to meet with you to discuss more of the details. If you are ready to volunteer, please contact Lauren Piercefield, the High School Youth Minister.
All volunteers must be in compliance with the Safe Environment requirements. Click here for more information about safe environment.
St. Matthew sponsors a handful of summer camps, weekend trips, and retreats. Consider dedicating a weekend or a full week to chaperone an overnight youth event.
Our teens need recognition and praise. Volunteer to support teens from a specific school or community by sending cards, noting accomplishments, or reaching out in other ways.
