Beginnings: Preschool, TK and Kindergarten
One of St. Matthew’s sweetest and most joyful programs! Children are placed in small groups of six to eight, and shepherded by two teen leaders. The leaders guide the children through three lesson rotations – SEE, HEAR and DO – that are led by adults, bringing Scripture, the Sunday Liturgy and God’s mighty love alive through music, games, crafts and stories.
Children must be 3, 4 or 5 by August 31, 2024 to enroll, and must be fully toilet trained.

Beginnings: Grade One
The first grade child embarks on a journey to discover God’s amazing and merciful love and embrace their identity as a Catholic child of God as they begin preparing for the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist (which takes place in second grade). Children are placed in small groups, led by two adult or teen catechists, opening Scripture and the Catechism on a level just right for the six and seven year old mind.
