St. Matthew > What will happen at my CRHP retreat?

A Christ Renews His Parish Retreat occurs each year – one for men and one for women. Christ Renews His Parish began in the 1970s and is offered in more than 1,000 parishes nationwide. The experience brings parishioners together and inspires a deeper spirituality, strengthens community, and builds lasting friendships; all within our parish setting. It includes talks, small-group sharing, quiet reflection time, prayer, Mass, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

  • CRHP is an overnight, 26-hour retreat hosted and facilitated by parishioners. It offers fellowship, builds community, and takes place on the Ballantyne campus.
  • CRHP begins at 6 p.m. on Friday evening. After check-in, you will enjoy a Welcome Reception and meet other attendees. Heavy hors d’oeuvres are provided so no need to eat before coming.
  • After the Reception, the retreat will begin with inspirational team member talks and small group discussions. There will also be time for prayer, meditation, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
  • CRHP concludes with Saturday Mass at 5:30 p.m. followed by a concluding reception in the Banquet Room.

Sleeping Accommodations: Participants and team members sleep in the New Life Center.  Individual air beds are provided. Although staying overnight is optional, it is highly recommended. Arrangements are made for special needs. A list of items to bring will be provided ahead of time.  If unable to spend the night, please do not let that keep you from attending.

Healthy meals are served with love by last year’s CRHP Team. You will not go hungry, we guarantee it!
