Mission
Delivering, in a caring and friendly manner, balanced meals to individuals in our community who are unable, because of age or infirmity, to obtain and prepare their own meal.
Description of agency served: Meals on Wheels (a division of Nourish Up) is the organization that prepares and delivers meals to the home bound in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are needed to pick up meals at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 2027 Emerywood Drive between 10:15 – 10:30 am. Volunteers then deliver the meals to the recipients on their assigned route. Detailed driving instructions are included with the meals. Meals are only delivered Monday thru Friday.
Time Commitment
Deliver meals once a month. Takes about one hour.
