Family Assist
Family Assist gives a helping hand to members of the St. Matthew faith community who are in need. The ministry also provides referrals for non-parshioners in difficult situations.
Volunteers provide meals and transportation services for parishioners as needed. On-site, professional Social Worker Sharon Davis, MSW, of Catholic Social Services offers professional case management services and, in coordination with the Pastor, financial assistance when needed. She also provides assessment and referrals to local social service agencies. Sharon is in the office at St. Matthew on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 5 p.m. in New Life Center Room 118.
All services are confidential, and the ministry endeavors to uphold the dignity of each person and, where applicable, encourages them on the path to self sufficiency.
