YEAR ONE
This foundational learning year may take place when a child is in first grade or older. YEAR ONE is divided into four age categories: Traditional YEAR ONE (first and second grade), RCIC YEAR ONE (third to fifth grade), RCIY YEAR ONE (sixth to ninth grade) and RCIT* (tenth to twelfth grade). The registration questions will guide you to select the age appropriate program before selecting your session day and time. *RCIT is completed in one year.
YEAR TWO
After the prerequisite YEAR ONE has been completed, this next consecutive year of exploration and preparation takes place. In addition to sessions, children and parents will complete supplemental materials at home and attend a parent-child half-day retreat in the fall for First Reconciliation and in the spring for First Holy Eucharist.
YEAR TWO is divided into three age categories: Traditional YEAR TWO (second and third grade), RCIC YEAR TWO (fourth and fifth grade), RCIY YEAR TWO (sixth to ninth grade). The registration questions will guide you to select the age appropriate program before selecting your session day and time. If your child is in eighth or ninth grade, you will have the option of enrolling them in the IGNITE Confirmation process as well to receive both Sacraments in the spring.
