Welcome to the Men’s Homeless Ministry at St. Matthew Catholic Church! For over 35 years, we have been dedicated to supporting Roof Above ministry in its mission to combat homelessness in our community. Our primary focus is supporting the homeless shelter by providing underwear and hygiene items that are greatly needed by the men staying at the North Tryon Street Shelter.
How You Can Help
One of the most impactful ways you can support our efforts is by contributing to the donation drives we have three times a year. These drives are typically during Easter, the end of the Summer, and in the month of December. Look for the announcements with dates in our printed bulletins and on our social media sites or look for the big blue bins located at the doors as you come into service at both campuses.

While our focus is on the underwear and hygiene items donation drives, Roof Above offers a range of services to battle homelessness comprehensively. They provide temporary shelters, affordable housing solutions, counseling services, and continuing education opportunities.
