Mission:
STARS is committed to bringing together people who are retired, whether newcomers or longtime members of St. Matthew.
Our motto of “Social, Service, Spiritual” explains our goal of providing an atmosphere of congeniality where those of like interests can get to know one another, at the same time serving STARS and St. Matthew, always keeping our spirituality foremost in our minds.
We meet from September through June on the first Wednesday of every month for lunch and a program.
Volunteer opportunities:
Our volunteers help with yearly activities such as the bake sale and raffle, as well as monthly luncheon meetings. All volunteers must be members of STARS and St. Matthew.
Time commitment of volunteers:
Participating in our service projects is optional and time commitment depends on the project.

STARS Companions
Companions is an informal discussion group, like your mother’s coffee klatsch, for senior adults. Meetings are the third Friday from 10 to 11:30 am in New Life Center 203. For more information, contact Brooke Moran or 980-939-1722.
