Join us in honoring Father John’s 35th Anniversary of Ordination at a special Mass on Sunday, May 18, at 10:45 am at the main campus. A light reception will follow in the Parish Center Gym.
Father John was ordained a priest on May 17, 1990, at his home parish, Notre Dame de Lourdes (now closed), in Springvale, Maine. He offered his first Mass at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes in Bethesda, Maryland, on May 20, 1990. He served at Our Lady of Lourdes for three years as a seminarian while at the Catholic University of America. At the invitation of his friend, our late bishop, The Most Reverend William G. Curlin, he came to serve the Diocese of Charlotte in July 1998. Father John is thankful for your prayers, encouragement, and collaboration in ministry.
He has asked that no personal gifts be made on this occasion. For those who wish, prayers or a small gift in support of St. Matthew Charitable Outreach will be appreciated.
Let’s come together to celebrate his faithful service and this joyful milestone!
