Food Pantry

  Food Pantry

Mission: We as a Christian community are dedicated to helping those in need. We provide food assistance with dignity, giving clients a choice in selecting their own food.

Agencies served: St. Matthew parishioners, Catholic Charities Charlotte Diocese and several smaller local food pantries.

Volunteer opportunities: Non-perishable food collections are conducted on the first Sunday of every month. Volunteers help sort and shelf donated food items. Pantry has space limitations so that no more than 10-12 volunteers are needed at one time. Entire families are invited to help make Christmas Food Baskets in the Parish Center.

Time commitment of volunteers: Once a month; Mondays, 9 to 10 am after collection Sundays. Also at Thanksgiving, Easter and Christmas to make baskets.
